A Weekly Review That Avoids Hindsight
Separate what you knew at entry from what became obvious after the trade ended.
Record the decision context
A winning trade can follow a poor process, and a losing trade can follow a sound plan. Preserve the information available at the time: your intended setup, invalidation and risk. Do not rewrite that plan after seeing the result.
Review a small set of questions
Did you take the setup you planned? Was your size consistent with the risk you chose? Did you follow the exit rule? These questions need recorded evidence. Profit and loss alone cannot tell you whether a trade was motivated by frustration.
Distinguish observations from explanations
A series of trades after a loss is observable. Calling it revenge trading is an interpretation that requires more context. Use behavioral labels carefully and give yourself space to describe what actually happened.
Choose one change
End the review with a specific process adjustment you can observe next week. Avoid changing several rules at once, because it becomes harder to understand what affected your behavior.
